Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Ladbrook Home Improvements Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) to any customer (“you”, “your”). By accepting a quotation or instructing us to carry out work, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Quotations

  • All quotations are free and without obligation.

  • Written quotations remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Quotes are based on a visual inspection and information provided at the time.

  • Additional work required due to unforeseen issues (e.g., structural defects, hidden damage) will be discussed and charged separately.

2. Acceptance of Work

  • Acceptance can be made verbally, in writing, or by paying a deposit.

  • Once accepted, a binding agreement is formed between you and Ladbrook Home Improvements Ltd.

3. Deposits & Payments

  • A deposit may be required before work commences.

  • The remaining balance is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • For larger projects, staged payments may be agreed in advance.

  • Late payments may result in additional charges and/or interest in line with UK regulations.

4. Cancellations

  • You have the right to cancel within 14 days of accepting a quotation (Cooling-Off Period) if the agreement was made off-premises.

  • If materials have already been ordered or work has commenced within this period at your request, reasonable costs may be deducted.

  • Cancellations must be made in writing.

5. Variations & Additional Work

  • Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be confirmed in writing.

  • Additional work requested during the project may affect cost and completion time.

  • We will provide confirmation of any additional charges before proceeding.

6. Timescales

  • Estimated start and completion dates are approximate and may be affected by weather, material availability, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • We will make every reasonable effort to complete work within agreed timeframes.

7. Access & Responsibilities

  • You must provide clear access to the work area.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by restricted access or third parties.

  • Customers must remove valuables or fragile items from work areas prior to commencement.

8. Materials

  • Materials remain our property until full payment is received.

  • We reserve the right to substitute materials with equivalent alternatives if necessary.

9. Guarantees

  • Workmanship is guaranteed for a period specified in your written agreement.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to certain materials where applicable.

  • Guarantees do not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, or third-party alterations.

10. Liability

  • We hold appropriate public liability insurance.

  • We are not liable for pre-existing structural issues or defects not visible during inspection.

  • Our liability is limited to the value of the contract.

11. Health & Safety

  • We comply with all relevant UK health and safety legislation.

  • Customers must ensure children and pets are kept clear of working areas.

12. Complaints

  • Any concerns must be raised promptly in writing.

  • We will aim to resolve complaints quickly and professionally.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, supply chain disruption, or government restrictions.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
